This happens to be it. Fun, but very unhinged, in a wonderfully Japanese way. Mind Game Nliseman I have absolutely zero idea what was going on in this short film but it is absolutely gorgeous and shows a very well thought out and dizzyingly detailed world that adheres to some wild logic that we as the audience are not privy to.

He soon finds out that Noiseman is perfectly capable of devouring him as well, and he is turned into a polyp-like creature in the process. The waych branding visuals are hurtled at you with such vigorous npiseman and speed that the completely cockamamie plot just about works.
Vaguely similar, but far superior, to feature-length Tekkonkinkreet. Frenetic to the point of near incoherence, but there’s a lot to be said about the sheer intensity of this technicolor dystopia. A unique Japanese anime, it gushes it’s psychedelic pallet over a futuristic favela cityscape occupied by brainwashed teenagers hunting down disembodied spirits in flying vacuum cleaners, and a villain made of pure sound.
Sometime later, Noiseman has begun a “reign of terror” of sorts and employs gangs of bikers to destroy all traces of music, leaving nothing but noise. Since ancient times a race of flesh eating monsters called shokujinki that can Noiseman Sound Insect is a kinetic and psychedelic oddity that ditches a coherent story in favour of bombarding the audience with strange brightly-coloured imagery.

Several directors take part in an anthology dedicated to short anime films. One biker’s memory of music, however, snaps him to his senses and incites him to rebel against the oncoming chaos. A cool little whirlwind of allegorical storytelling and experimental animation.

Franken as Gorou Naya Kenichi Ono I wasn’t a fan of the animation or character designs and while I thought the story and the short it self was interesting I didn’t really enjoy watching datch as it was to manic for its own good and Nosieman feel it need fleshed out characters or something else to latch onto to make my viewing experience a good one.
Not for the fragile or easily influenced.
Just below my vague treshold for giving a star rating for, but I think this was pretty awesome stuff. Would highly recommend to fans of great fantasy and followers of the unclassifiable genius of Masaaki Yuasa and Koji Morimoto.

Sustaining a simply terrify amount of energy for it’s brief duration, it completely overwhelms your senses in what seems to be an attempt of pushing you over into an epileptic fit.
Really cool, strange short that kind of ended up being the precursor to the anime Kaiba which is extremely good? As it is, it takes full advantage of the visual medium to complement this allegory and never skimps on the animation budget, soun for a fascinating piece that does precisely what a featurette should do: I would say that this is probably fine for older children, if they can handle the rapid onslaught of images.
