So what exactly is pass thru and why does it speed things up. For the appletv you hold down the center button on the remote and a chapter menu will display.
Jun 13, at 2: Bl4ckGryph0nJun 7, I have the atv3 preset selected in ivl and the framerate turned up to I keep seeing iVi mentioned in threads and mkvtools also. A little clunky in that you won’t know if you need to do this until you’ve already missed part of a movie but it does work.
I’ve been working on this problem tonight and I think I have a partial solution. Plus iPad, iPhone’s, Touch If you use iVI to do the full conversion and make no changes to the file in iVI afterwards it works fine, however if you use it to just add meta data to already converted files or edit a file converted with iVI afterwards the Sutitles tag doesn’t appear to work, it’s a fairly minor problem and in fact I contacted the developer about it and he said he would fix it in the forfed version.
I could never get it to work properly with Handbrake but have been using a shareware program called iVi Pro by www. Touch that and you can select a subtitle track and they display quite nicely.
