Throughout the story Ginger struggles with wanting to be cool and just being herself and doing what she wants.
I love Cherry’s personality and I think that everyone can relate to something in the book! Indie mustn’t let her go near Max again – or something terrible will happen. My least favorite part is when Shannon ditches Ginger and starts becoming friends with Emily. My rating is 3. How were you inspired to write many, many books that include different people with different backgrounds? Ginger is a girl who is a loner at primary school but becomes popular in high school. I would rate this book an 8 out of 10 and for female readers 10 — Cathy Cassidy Lucky Star. My definite favourite Cathy book of all time. Was there blue lemonade somewhere in this novel?
Are Gone are the days when Ginger was an outsider, always on the fringes of friendship. I could relate to Ginger’s past, which was interesting. A gorgeously tender-hearted story about secrets, friends and fitting in cassidu the new queen of tween, Cathy Cassidy. Through the summer before Middle school Ginger gingersjaps weight, gains style, I’m 17 and still read this book like it is the first time I’ve read it.

The only character that is really based on me as a child is Daizy from the Daizy Star series. So much so that she named her children Indigo and Misty – shades of blue, special gingerssnaps, magical colours. But then things start to go wrong.

Leaving the bullies and Shannon as a distant memory. Since she was younger Ginger was bullied for her size, name and hair but that all changes when Ginger move up to Middle school. I feel really sorry for Cherry and when I read this and then I read Sweet Honey I thought it was extremely mean of Honey to blame Cherry for stealing Shay when Cherry told him to go away and Shay keeps coming back. The characters are funny and fun especially Sam heh. All it ever got me was twisted ankles, because I knew in my heart of hearts that it wasn’t worth it.
It cassdy a classic show on the dramas of teenage life, not fitting in and trying to maker friends.
